Conceptual House Plan 1553

Leave us your feedback and suggestions at the bottom of this post!

Conceptual Design 1553 is an updated two-story version of The Silvergate house plan 1254-D. Cedar shakes and board-and-batten wrap the exterior while multiple gables, dormers, and metal roof accents enhance curb-appeal. Rustic elements include timber posts along the front porch and decorative gable brackets.

A coat closet is just inside the foyer entry. The great room is comfortable with a coffered ceiling and a fireplace and living continue to the rear porch with skylights. The kitchen centers around an island and a pantry is nearby for storage. The dining room features a tray ceiling and a breakfast room is available offering a stunning vaulted ceiling and views to the rear.

The master suite is a private wing with a tray ceiling and two large walk-in closets. The master bathroom also has an elegant tray ceiling and couples will enjoy a dual-sink vanity, freestanding bathtub, and a walk-in shower. A study/bedroom on the first floor offers privacy and has a walk-in closet and a linen closet just outside the room.

The garage enters the home through a mud room with a drop zone, built-in seat, and coat closet while a side porch grants access from the outdoors. A utility room with laundry sink and a full bathroom complete this multi-functional space.

Upstairs, two bedrooms share a full bathroom with a dual-sink vanity and a hallway linen/storage closet. An optional bonus room makes an ideal guest suite, media room, or home gym.

Master is to small extend side wall to Closet. I would add optional bath in Bonus something you never do in your plans?

Great plan! I would give the study / bedroom its own bathroom. I would make the master bedroom a little larger (14' x 18'). I would also make the master bath larger so that there is room for his and her vanities and a nice size linen closet.

I like the plan except for having the driveway being in front of the front door. It would be better for resale if the driveway was on the side.

I really like this plan. I would love to see a version without an angled garage, but rather a garage directly attached and entering from the left. It wouldn't block much natural light because it would be against the stairwell and closet of the study/bedroom.

I like this plan. My "extras" requirements are a closet off the front door, large island in kitchen, large pantry, bath off the garage and a large shower. This one covers all those.

The only question I have is can the utility room be made slightly bigger as to not have the awkward triangle space (or at least not as small of a space) made move the garage out 2 feet. It would give more room for folding and looking out the window and pretending that you are not folding the clothes. I like the layout.

I Like the plan. I would increase room sizes slightly for family room, kitchen, and master. Bump exterior wall out about 3’. Also add 3 car garage (25’ x 36’) or so. This would add some storage and accommodate large trucks.
