A front entry garage, along with a modest width of only 40 feet makes this home plan an easy choice for a narrow lot. Combine that with a stylish facade and a deep floor plan that accommodates desirable amenities, and this narrow Craftsman is sure to please. A courtyard entry welcomes guests to a side-entry porch framed in columns. Just inside, french doors open to a custom library or office with built-in shelving. The symmetrical great room enjoys a fireplace flanked by bookcases and a cathedral ceiling. A spacious dining room is perfect for family dinners and special occasions while bar seating is available in the kitchen for casual meals. The gourmet kitchen centers around an island and an adjacent walk-in pantry provides convenient storage. The master suite completes the first floor with a tray ceiling, luxury bathroom, dual walk-in closets, and access to the cover porch. Upstairs, find three additional bedrooms along with a full bath, utility room and extra storage. Additionally, a bonus room provides opportunities for expansion. ***Based on your feedback, we have made a few changes to Conceptual Design 1450! Notice that the utility room has been moved to the first floor and is accessed through a storage vestibule. The kitchen has shifted slightly to the rear of the house and the master bedroom closet is now located beside of the master bathroom. An additional full bathroom has been added upstairs. Compare to the original floor plans below.

I really like the new design. However, the master bedroom right off the kitchen is not very private. Maybe a hallway along the covered porch (the wall with the long windows) to the master bedroom and the master bath in the rest of that square footage. It's hard to find house plans for narrow lots that have a stunning view along the length of the home. Like property on a ridge top or along a lakefront. Is one fits the bill other than the fireplace taking up space that would be better used for windows? And could the great room have upper windows for a view from the upstairs balcony?

I really like the changes. It feels more functional having the laundry in a central location and on the main level. It also has a lot of character and natural light.

This one is very impressive. The kitchen is great. The amount of light that would travel room to room. I do question the upstairs laundry room since as the owners grow older and children move out they will have to go up to do it.
